With the warmer weather approaching, Shire of Carnamah wants to remind the community that ‘Restricted Burning Time’ is fast approaching and will be in effect from 19th September to 31st October 2023.
What You Need to Know Permits are mandatory. Fires can be lit during this time, however a Permit to Burn is required. Permits can be obtained from a Permit Issuing Officer. You can apply to obtain a permit by emailing the Shire at firstname.lastname@example.org, by calling the Shire on 9951 7000 or by filling the electronic form located at the bottom of this linked page: https://www.carnamah.wa.gov.au/services/bush-fire-control
Prohibited Activities Open burning is strictly prohibited during this time. This includes any activities that involve setting fires without the necessary permit.
