                                  SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER

The duties of this position include payroll, rates, management of occupational safety & health and general book keeping tasks. The position calls for a highly motivated individual with excellent time management and organisational skills to work with and complement a small experienced team dedicated to providing services to the community. Candidates with a finance background, competent computer literacy skills and able to demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills will be highly regarded. A working knowledge of IT Vision's "Synergy Soft" program would be highly regarded. However training will be provided as necessary.

The position will attract a salary of between $51,771 and $57,855. A range of generous benefits also apply including superannuation, uniform allowance and subsidised housing or rental assistance.

An opportunity exists for an experienced enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the work team at the Shire of Carnamah as Manager of Works and Services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager of Works and Services will provide leadership and be directly responsible for managing, delivering and reporting of asset maintenance, construction, and renewal works.  This role encompassess the management of the Council's Construction, Maintenance, Parks and Gardens, Waste Services, Mechanical Services, Building Maintenance and Swimming Pool.

As would be expected in a leadership role, the Manager of Works and Services will bring with them the ability to inspire their teams, together with a strong commitment to continuous improvement, employment diversity and OH&S.

The successful candidate will be offered a 3 year year performance based contract  with a negotiated remuneration package up to $148,240 including superannuation, housing, utility subsidies and private vehicle use with a cash component between $80,000 and $92,000.
